NPO A Piece of Cosmos helps people who'd like to experience a rural life, who are seeking a place to live in Kihoku town, and artists who are willing to have a chance of artist in residence.
We have information of houses for let, outdoor activities of marine and mountain, and contry-life-experiment programs. Top af all, Kihoku town is part of World Heritage, "Sacred Sites ad Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range." Hiking in ancient walking trails will bring you to genunine ancient Japan.
YUGAKU residence
A 50-year-old traditional Japanese style house.
We open this house for rural life trial space, and artist in residence. In a chamber and yard, we will hold events such as music concert, cooking class, or art lecture.
If you are an artist, ACC (asian cultural counsil) will help you to travel and living fee during residency period. We will provide a room to stay, environment to create art work, and many chances of encounter with local people.

We started as an volunteer group which planted hydrangeas along R42. In 2007, we bought a house near JR Kii-nagashima station and started the programe for facilitaing immigration into Kihoku town.
